Picture Request- Help for School Project

Hi! I am doing a World History project comparing the history of the monetary systems between China and the United States over the past 500 years or so. I will be discussing economics and politics and their influence on coins and currency. I need a little help illustrating my project, though.
Please if you have any of these coins, post your images here or PM me them or e-mail me them if you like. You will be properly credited in my sources cited section.
Also, I realize I could probably find these coins at Heritage or Coinfacts or something, but I would rather that be a last resort, because I would prefer to have direct permission from the image/coin owners.
Coins:
Massachusetts Pine Tree Shilling
Any of the various New England colonials
Fugio Cent
Continental 'Dollar'
Silver Center Cent
Chain Cent
Flowing Hair (any denomination)
Libertas Americana Medal
A nice two cent piece (The full motto must be able to be read, on mine 'WE' is worn off, or else I would use it)
A George Washington 5 C pattern
A Bryan Dollar
A Trade Dollar
A Chop-marked Trade Dollar
A Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle
A Standing Liberty Quarter
I think everything else I wish to illustrate I have satisfactory pictures/examples of my own.
Thank you very much in advance! I really appreciate it.
-Amanda

I was wondering what you were doing here. She didn't ask for any pictures of Dahlonega gold.

<< <i>coinJP - What's with the countermark??? >>
The counterstamp says Al Capone. I'm still trying to figure out why his name was punched into this piece.

I am just disappointed that there were no requests for southern gold photos.

Or Shield 5c. Amanda, you need a photo of 5c fractional currency and a Shield to illustrate the U.S. economy during the Civil War and immediate post-bellum era. That will take you from an A minus to an A plus, guaranteed!

I'm sorry Robert
I do plan on sneaking in a reference to America's first gold rush in a small town in N. GA though.

Well, I have a picture I took of my Shield 5c. Don't worry, I would never neglect the Civil War economy!
I don't have any pictures of fractional currency, though. That might be something neat to include!

Okay, I have to ask; where are you getting the images for the Chinese coins? Also, could you please tell us more about the project? Sounds interesting. Regarding politics and economics, I would recommend Eric Newman's work on colonial currency. He is an amazing researcher and author. In fact, he has written extensively on this subject.
Unfortunately, I don't have any of the coins you need for your project, but I do wish you good luck on your project!

Well, I have a few cash coins from the late Ming/Early Ching that I have photographed (and since cash coins basically all looked the same for over 1000 years (and circulated for many many many years) that's just fine for me) and I have made some scans of knife and spade money from a book I checked out on the subject. Also, I have a chopmarked real for inclusion in the Chinese section and a couple chopmarked Trade Dollars that were posted here (thanks again guys!
Interestingly enough, many foreign silver coins circulated in China. It wasn't until the 20th century that China really started minting their own coins. Actually, it wasn't until the 20th century that they started minting coins at all-- all the bronze cash coins were cast in molds and then placed on square rods and had their edges filed smooth many at a time.
So basically, Chinese government-made money has always been fiat money, ever since the knife and spade 'coins' were made to emulate the often bartered items. There were some silver coins that circulated that were brought in by outside governments, and there were some ingots cast by private merchants, but government money has always been base metal (in this case bronze.) As such, the coins usually circulated tied together on strands of a hundred or so.
So that's what I'm doing for China!
By the way, that book sounds interesting!
