possible euro schillers

I thought i might be getting schilled on a recent auction as the bidder had that wonderful word (private) next to his ebay name. When i put his name in to see what he was currently bidding on ( expecting to see lots of the sellers auction) this is what i received from ebay below.....

  • That almost sounds made up. How can they be serious with that kind of response?

    On the topic of international bidders, has anyone had any positive experiences? I had an auction up recently and received an email asking what the shipping would be to the UK. I was charging around $9 for domestic. I responded (not knowing what rates are and not wanting to be bothered) with $35. I was promptly told where I should go and for me to rot there. Nice fellow.

    If you don't mind me asking, what were you shipping?

  • My favorite is when you specifically say U.S. and Canada only on shipping and then people from everywhere start asking how much shipping will be. LEARN TO READ! image I actually had someone in Greece tell me they were american (although their english sentence structure was horrible) and wanted to know if they could be charged the domestic rate to send to Greece since they actually had residence in the U.S.. I was like, "Um...no."
    I do not ship anywhere but domestically and Canada for those reasons.
    And don't feel bad; I've been called so many names by foreigners also.

    If I were PMd the suspected shiller's ID, I could try a test using
    a UK account, or other means.

    On the foreign shipping:

    If I do not know you as a previous customer, I can no longer
    ship out of the US. I know I lose alot of orders, but the
    extra bother is just not worth it to me.

    The PayPal issues forced me to use Global Express on foreign
    orders and it is close to $20.00. I thought that number sounded
    mean-spirited to shoppers, so I just stopped doing it all together.

    I still ship to everybody I have sold to b4 my "policy" change;
    they just email me, and EBAY gets left out.
