Raw 1809 Bust Half ... please grade and attribute! GRADE POSTED

I'm very excited about this Bustie, which I got from Dick Osburn. Hopefully it will holder at PCGS (I know, I know...the whole thing about holders, but I've got a registry set and I can't get it in there unless it's holdered). Also, I'm trying something new, I'm reducing the sizes of my images and uploading them directly to this site, rather than use a photo hosting service.
Thanks for looking! Your input is very much appreciated.

p.s. easy to photograph raw coins!!!

Nice pickup.
Looks every bit of EF and holderable, to me

describes them as "a row of uniform, pointed ,segments clash marked between scroll and eagles head."
I wonder if its more likely die damage similar to the spiked -chin 1804 1/2 cent.?
Oh yeah,O-102,R1
OBV 2 - star 13 close to curl.
Rev A-s2 - with "a row of uniform, pointed segments clash marked between the scroll and eagle's head." (from Overton)
102 capped bust half dollars - 100 die marriages

I'd say it's in the XF range and would guess that might be where pcgs will be at. I've noticed on darker Bust halves pcgs seems to go a bit low on grade at times. You can always take a sharpie pen after they grade it and write your own grade on it.
I think it is an XF coin that would probably slab as a 40 at PCGS because the luster looks gone.
How does the edge lettering look?
You have a well struck bustie there so that should help the grade. I really like it. Hopefully it has some nice lustre too!
<< <i>I'm going to go minority report on you and wager it could slab as AU50. I think it will boil down to how much luster remains, a tough thing to tell from the pic. The strike on those things could be unbelievably crappy, and that coin has fantastic detail for an XF. >>
<< <i>That is a bomber coin for the assigned grade. >>
<< <i>I'm gonna go with possibly AU 50. As was mentioned...the strike on the obverse is really poor on a lot of the halves as in 1808 and 1809's. >>
I am gonna totally agree with the cat-avatar people. It figures.
Oscar agrees with them, too.
PCGS should give it XF40, or if you get lucky, XF45. Detail is sufficient, but it appears to lack luster.

Cute cat. He looks like an Oscar too.
(maybe the luster, which doesn't show up in the photo and is pretty much c/w an au 50-55 raised this lady to the AU 50)
<< <i>fyi it graded at pcgs as an AU 50.

Doesn't surprise me at all. I didn't see this thread the first time, so when I first saw the coin just now, my guess was EF45, but PQ. I can see how PCGS would bump it to an AU...
