If I report someone, for selling something forbidden by the Ebay rules or any Ebay violation, is the violator specifically told who blew the whistle on them?
i used to work with a secratary who spent a lot of energy trying to weed out sellers of worn womens socks. seems there's a big niche market for well worn womens socks on ebay. (which it's against the rules to sell)
I'd prefer to contact them directly and let them know but I have a hunch I'd only be buying myself a lot of problems and hassles with this individual, rather than just report it, if anonymous, and let Ebay take a look.
There's a lot of people selling forbidden crap on Ebay. The more people who turn them in, the better it is for all of us. You won't be ratted out by Ebay, and you'll be doing us all a service. (If more people get ratted out, maybe -- just maybe -- people will think twice before putting up bogus coins.)
If you haven't noticed, I'm single and miserable and I've got four albums of bitching about it that I would offer as proof.
Go for it. I do it all the time for fake coins. They won't tell them who reported them and they won't tell you what action they took. But in most cases, the listings are removed.

Thanks! This isn't a coin, but something related to my work. I doubt the seller in question knows that they are in probable violation but I don't desire them getting access to my online information.

So you're onto me, tcmitssr. Ain't this a crock of crap. I thought I could get away with selling my 81mm Mortar with the 500 live mortar rounds, if I just did a quick 3 day auction. But you saw it and realized it was forbidden. Dang. I better shut down my auction before Ebay does and bans me.

I've never seen same day response from ebay. Shut it down and relist it as a 1 day auction. Good luck. BTW, do you ship overseas?

(no, they won't know or be told by ebay)
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Nothing to do with coins. I stumbled across someone selling a prohibited product.
Thanks for the answer.

I would presume it's related to a fetish.
