Football cards...

Hey everyone! I hope the Thanksgiving holiday was great for you and yours. I'm asking for advice because I know you all have always helped in times of need and never really led me astray when it comes to collecting.
I have a ton of football cards (well, a couple hundred) that I'm wanting to get rid of. I need space in my collecting area, I don't collect them anymore, and I need the money when it comes down to it more than I need the cards. I'm not sure what the best way to go about selling them would be. I have some HOFer's, All Stars, of course commons too. I also have a 1977 Vince Papale Topps Rookie card that I'm wanting to sell.
Can anyone give me advice on how to successfully sell these items? For example, should I break them up into lots; sell by player, sell them all together, etc. You get the picture. Any help would be very appreciated. I'm wanting to sell them on Ebay. Thanks.

  • I'd break them up into lots. Either by year or by team.

I recently did the same (team lots) with a bunch of mid grade
1970's hockey and the lots went rather well. Better than I expected.

Just keep the opening bid at .99 and they'll sell.

    Good luck, Bob C.
