I also bought this coin at the Westford, MA show today. The lustre is strong and the coin is just beautiful in hand. This one is going to PCGS so grade opinions are welcome. Thanks.

That thing is still smarting from the dip, but probably a 55, and could go higher.

How about showing your coin in the 1834 Capped Bust Half Dollar thread?

I would give that one a nice long bath in acetone before I sent it in. It has obviously been dipped and might be holding a ton of fingerprints or even some dip residue that will start to show once in the slab--so acetone it to clean her up.
That said- I think it will slab and is a nice AU piece, but if you took this coin fresh from a dip and put it in a nice Kraft envelope I think it will start to retone nicely in a year or so....then slab her.
Some coins are just plain "Interesting"

Looks like AU 53 details to me with a recent dipping. Let it age a few decades and you've got a real nice coin.

My first thought was 'small date' of course only a guess but still info I'd never known without the 'Series Thread'

Looks like a nice coin to me, btw
Need something designed and 3D printed?
