Barber Halves and Proof Barber Quarter

1896 Proof Barber Quarter. PR64 Raw. Somewhat strong cameo contrast under gun metal blue and gray toning... scattered shades of light red toning intermingled in the blue and gray. If dipped would certainly get a cameo designation from PCGS, NGC, ANACS, etc. Few scattered hairlines visible under 100 watt lightbulb. Please note: the brightness on the high points is the result of lighting reflection of the coin, not rub. In actuality, those highpoints have no rub. $950.

1893 Barber Quarter. NGC MS64. Spectacular looking coin. Flashy obverse luster compliments blue, gold, and light red toning on the obverse. The reverse is a little darker, with the peripheral region from 6 to 9 o'clock primarily dark gray. The remainder of the reverse is a mixture of blue and red hues. The coin has large significant contact marks and only a couple barely noticable luster grazes. The coin is certainly a candidate for an MS65 grade from PCGS or NGC and would no doubt cross to a PCGS MS64 minimum. $750.

1912 D Barber Half. AU58+ Raw. Highly original with only light signs of rub on the cheek and field. Light gray-gold color covers the entire coin. Most of original mint luster is still present. Never tampered with. $400

1915 S Barber Half. VF20 Raw. Has all necessary charactoristics of a VF20 and has pleasant even wear and is very original. $75

1899 Barber Half. VF35+ Raw. Has a shot at XF40. Traces of luster still tucked away in the protected areas. Very even wear and color. Highly original. $120.
