Pixel Counting - Am I doing this right?

Trying to make sure that I am doing this correctly.
1. I blow up the picture (zoom) until the picture breaks down into pixels (little squares).
2. I count the pixels on both borders at the worst possible point (in the case of the Clemente 24 pixels on left, 10 on right)
3. I divide 24/34 to get 71% (left), 10/34 to get 29% (right)
4. Therefore side to side centering on Clemente = 71/29
Correct methodology? It sure looks a little worse than that.

That's how I do it. Using the same method with Windows Paint blown up to 800%, I get 11 pixels on the left and 4 pixels on the right, or 73/27. We're all in the ballpark.
