Cat and Mouse

Society of Medalists,issue#115,by sculptor,ROBERT A. WEINMAN,1987

From the artist,

"Twenty-three years ago,in 1964,I had the privilege of creating the Socrates medal for the Society of Medalists as its 69th medal. Now i had the occasion to submit sketches for anothe medal in the Society's continuing series. Around my drawing board a pile of sketches mounted ever higher, but none seemed just right. Finally a friend said,"You can't top your Socrates medal foe seriousness-try whimsy." Thus the CAT AND MOUSE concept was born.

Bronze Art Medal,2 3/8" x 2 7/8" x 3/8" thick.
