PSA value help!

Hello,

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I want to send the following card for grading to PSA: 2003-04 SP Game Used Authentic Fabrics Gold/Auto #AF-SG Simon Gagne #d/21. I don't know what to write for the value. Beckett's on-line price guide has N/A for the prices and PSA’s SMR does not even have this set listed. I want to send it in with my other cards under the special for this month. Would PSA accept a value of under $75.00 on this card? I bought this card last year for under $40.00 if I remember correctly.

Thanks, Jim

  • They should if that is the value you list it as on your submission form. Better question, is the card too thick for grading?
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

Looking for Al Hrabosky and any OPC Dave Campbells (the ESPN guy)
  • Hi,

Thanks for replying to my question. So it is alright to value a card at what you pay for it? These autograph/jersey cards are all over the place in values. Even same players, same year with auto & jsy can have big differences in card value. I have no idea what to price this card at.

A far as thickness, I never gave it a thought. I thought PSA will grade all cards that are manufactured by Upper Deck, Fleer, etc. The card fits in a Card Saver 1. Does that help any?

Sorry I am new to grading cards. I just started last year.

    Thanks again,
    Jim
