To My Error Peeps...

I found this in pocket change back in the day and
tossed it in a container with all the odd Canadian
dimes and stuff.
I've never gotten into error coins, so I don't know
what would cause this kind of weakness of strike.
"In God We Trust" is pretty much gone, as is the
Denver mint mark and the "LI" of Liberty, while
the reverse appears to be stronger.
Just thought about it and decided to ask you guys.
Plus I'm trying out Photobucket. I hope this works.

Yes, grease!!
I should have thought of that!!
That would explain why some design
elements are struck up, such as the
date, while some are gone, such as
much of the periphery lettering.
