Every time I see one of these coins with a huge crack/break, I try to imagine how exciting it must have been in the Press Room when one of these dies finally decided to let loose and fly apart!
I think they are pretty tough. I have only managed one of them I think. Certainly, they are not hard to cherry as long as you don't breeze past it thinking it is just legend cracks. They just don't seem to be in that high of numbers. It really doesn't come off as a spectacular one without close inspection. The key is to sinply remember the X crossed cracks formt he tip of the bust and don't expect any breaks, obverse or reverse, to pop out for you.
