Is this auction real?

I was going through ebay auctions and noticed a person selling unopened material. The buyer has the exact case of 1981 football with the exact writing on the outside of the case, Kramer Sports, etc. Here is the auction number,320052689535, seller's name is basehitters. Checks's Steve's site for a picture of the same case. I am wondering if Steve Hart has an alternative ebay name. If not this buyer either stole the pics from Steve's site or and this is a stretch, has the same case with the same original buyers name on it. This seller is from NC, not IL. Someone should contact Steve Hart.

That seller has quite a few items listed that are also listed on BBCE's site including a 75 Topps Mini was case. His buy it now prices are a little higher that Steve's listed prices. Maybe he is selling the boxes and then buying them from Steve.

Anyone else think this auction is weird?
  • It appears to be the same picture that Steve is using. BBCE is selling for $25,000 and this guy for $27,000. How much would he net after the ebay and Paypal fees?

It doesn't seem like it would be worth the hassle and not to mention it is against ebay's policies (I think any way)

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
