About the presidental dollar coins and possible mintages

Does anyone know if the mintage for each coin is fixed or will they be minted to demand? If it's to demand, many (if not all) could turn out to be quite scarce. Additionally the Sacs might become quite collectable as well as they're required to be minted alongside the presidential coins.

Now, last year they produced a little over 7 million Sac's which would translate into 21 million presidential coins?
Personally, I'm gonna get as many as I can reasonable afford just in case we do end up with a low mintage coin. With the US Mint, you never really know until its all done and the minting dust has settled.
The name is LEE!
With that huge backlog in the vaults I would expect the second year (and all subsequent years) to be collector only issues like the Sac is currently Proof sets, mint sets, roll sets, and collector bags.
Now for most of the years of the Sac, the collector sales have amounted to an average production of about 5 million coins of each date and mint. I would expect roughly the same type demand levels for the President dollars. So we should see about 40 million total president coins struck each year and 20 million Sac dollar. Sales demand for the Sacs will only be about 10 million coins so there will be an additional 10 million Sac dollars, or about 2 months circulation demand, added to the vaults each year.
P.S. I'm personally expecting to see 600,000,000 of each of the Prez Coins in the first year.
those coins are boring me already
<< <i>If the presidential coins are required to circulate in commerce ..then the mintages would probably be high. The ratio of Sacs to the presidential coins would also be higher in comparison to other Sacs of previous years....
...and it that's the case, the Sackies from 2002 to 2006 will jump in price. I think the first 2 years (2007-2008) we can expect big numbers because the prez series will be pushed and the Sackies will be a glut. After 2008 we'll be back to the usual "coins for collectors" syndrome. Why is this a done deal, because the paper dollar will continue on. All bets are off if Congress and the BEP sack the dollar for Sackies and prezies.
