Is it Time to Worry About my E-Bay Buyer?

I sold a $4,200 coin on e-bay. The auction ended 6PM eastern Saturday (nearing 4 days ago). The bidder has a 100% positive fedback of 3, with the only one I can still see being on an NGC coin for under $100. I have sent two invoices and a follow-up e-mail. As of now I have no contact.
Obviously I am not out anything except time and recoupable e-bay expenses, but I am less than thrilled with this lack of response. Even on a minor auction I am sure to follow up promptly, and notify the seller if I will not be away or such when the auction closes.
I have looked at the e-bay policies and have not found rules on contact or time for payment after an auction closes.

Though in my case, they were probably $20-30 items which generate much less angst than a $4200 item. Still, too early to panic.
<< <i>Four days is way too soon to be worried. And, if I were a bidder and you sent me two invoices and a follow-up e-mail in that short a period of time, it would be the last time I bid.

Don't let it ruin your Thanksgiving. Have a happy one !!!
<< <i>It is a holiday week. Many folks travel. Since your really not out anything, waiting till after the holiday seems reasonable. Who knows, maybe they already sent the check and then hit the road to Grandma's house. Probably over there right now bragging about his purchase and what a (guess) "reverse proof" will be worth in 10 years.

What Richard Shipp said. Lots of people traveling for the holidays.

This past Sunday I had an Ebay auction for some cheap football cards. It ended with a high bid from someone from the United Kingdom. 100% Feedback, many recent auctions. I contacted the person because i dont ship to the UK and implicitly state that in the auctiion descriptions etc. She contacted me the next day, her account was hijacked and someone bid $56,000 in auctions over the course of two days.
I'd be doing a check on the contact info and giving this person a call, if for nothing else to make sure that its a working, legit contact number.
<< <i>He may have already sent off the check and just didn't bother to reply. It would be bad form and poor communication if so, but I know that's happened to me when selling stuff before.

A check for $4200 from a 3 feedback bidder?? I'd be worried as hell.

I get that every now and then in spite of putting it in my auctions. "If paying by check or money, please notify me of your choice".

Why? You hold the funds for 7-10 days and make sure they clear. No clear, no coin.
