Cards not worth much, but are "pretty"

This is just a nice looking card. Are there any others you could think of?

Does it have to be baseball?

    OK, if it does:

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

  • Not limited to only baseball cards. You have some real nice choices. I may have to pick some of those up.

What set were those baseball ones from? I can't make out the PSA labels on them.

There are a lot of them in the 1950 Bowman FB set...

    This one comes to mind:

    1950 Bowman Travis Tidwell

    or,

    1950 Gail Bruce:

Also, the Tittle is pretty but it may be worth a little more than "much" depending on condition.

Heh, just about every common card from the '84 Donruss set image

They went to great lengths to make every player look like a superstar in that set.

I love the T118 set. You could post almost any card from that set. The "not worth much" eliminates the Turkey Reds which I think is the most beautiful baseball set made. Two of my favorite cards from the '33 Goudey set are Berger and Grove, below.

I agree with thedpro, the 52 bowman set has some of the prettiest cards ever made.

    Good for you.

Thedpro, the baseball cards in my post are Perez Steele Great Moments- they are the size of T3's but on thinner stock.

David, if that Grove it not worth much I'd gladly relieve you of it! I love the portrait of Lefty O'Doul in that set as well.

  • Okay, that particular Grove is worth a lot. However, one could get a lower grade one that is not worth much. Then again, "not worth much" may be relative to the collector.

thedpro, how much commission have you earned so far with all of these referral links you've been posting? I would think that most people here already have ebay accounts, and I don't think you will earn commission for sending existing ebay members..

I'm hoping Topps does the '07 version of their A&G in the T118. That would be great.

Personally I love the Civil War news cards, some great artwork. Pretty much all of the early Bowman cards in Baseball, Football and Non-Sport are great cards.
  • 1973 Thurman Munson is a VERY cool card.

Hey griffons: why are those Turkey reds graded Authentic only? they look to be in great condition!

Lower grade is not worth too much, compared to the other Big Boys in this set.

They look like they are autographed so they probably just chose to get the auto graded. I may be wrong though.
  • arent those Turkey reds, the big Perez Steele HOF greatest moments postcards?

I don't know what Topps was thinking with that card because Game 3 of the 1964 World Series was at Yankee Stadium, and that is clearly not Yankee Staduim behind Mickey.
  • . . . and Mantle is sporting the road grays.
