Some quarters from my Dansco 7070 - **dimes added** - & halves, nickels, cents

CrackoutCrackout Posts: 1,365 ✭✭✭✭✭
I just created this grouping from individual pics. It certainly gives a better representation of the coins than trying to image that whole Dansco page. Plus, you can see the reverse of the coin below the obverse!

Next I'll do the dimes....then the halves....

I can see this may take a while.

    Very very nice display!

I love how well they match technically, except the 1891-S is more worn than the others. But it's still a lovely, eye-appealing coin!

The circulation cameo look is definitely my favorite look for a coin, and something I try to seek out.

Looking forward to the dimes and halves! image

Thanks for sharing your quarters. image

Nice. This is one of the challenging yet ultimately very satisfying (or frustrating depending on your luck) ways to collect: trying to match a particular "look" across your set. Well done!

Fantastic array. Exactly "THE" look in circulated coins.

Just about all are nice "circulation cameos", too.

Hats off (a tip o' the Holey Gold Hat) to you- those are very handsome. image

    Thanks everyone.

As you can see, I too am a big fan of the circulation cameo. I am working towards getting this whole set to look this way (a lifelong project perhaps?).

Some of the more challenging coins seem to be the nickels and clad coins because the don't seem to wear/tone the same as silver.

That is a wonderful group of quarters there! image

Page 3 of the 7070 is my favorite page and I have coins similiar grade and look to yours. Didn't know anyone else here was going for that look. Can't wait to see the rest of your images.

Just checked back to see the other pics-- all I can say is FANTASTIC!

Ironically, I can't decide on a clad Washington Quarter either. I have a '66 that I pulled out of circulation when I was 9 or 10 (ca 1973), stuck inthe blue Whitman and there it has been. Some toning, right grade, but for all the sentimentality... it just doesn't match. Love your 79d Jefferson 5c!

Great work matching it all up.

Hot damn, that is a finely-matched Dansco set. Best I've seen since the Great Baley's 7070. Where IS Baley these days, anyway?
