US Mint Refund TIme?

Anyone have an experience getting a refund from the mint?

I sent back all my gold SF proofs. It has been 6 weeks now and they tell me it will be another 10 to 14 days.

Uncle Sam must be sleeping.

Weeks to a month or two (have done it less than a handful of times but it has never been quick, though it has always been done).
Right now, with all the business they have (20th annv sets, etc), and the holidays, they are probably a bit more behind than usual.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • I understand they are busy but 2 months plus????? Guess they haven't figured out how to walk and chew gum at the same time. I did complain..... as if anyone one was listening.

I'm waiting on 2 returns related to the Gold/Silver ASE's. One is about 6 weeks old and the other just over 3...so you got company.

  • I returned an item last year.
I thought I would get a refund on my credit card.
Time passed and I nearly forgot about the return.
I called the Mint 6 months later and told them about the return.
They had to do some research and found that i had indeed returned the item.
    They then posted my credit.
Had I not called, I would have never received my refund!
