I received the Stack's version of the McDonalds Value Meal-- Numismatic Sun and Paper Money Review c

Just yesterday, for my numismatic reading pleasure, I received the new issue of Stack's Numismatic Sun. I was delighted to see that they combined the Numismatic Sun with Paper Money Review in one issue. I felt as though I got the Stack's equivalent of a Value Meal at McDonalds-- a lot more numismatic food for the price. The issue looks great, and a quick review of the table of contents show that the deep bench at Stack's is pitching in and giving QDB's fingers a well deserved break from the keyboard (although the Stack's crew in New York probably typed their articles on Remingtons image ). Here is the article listing:

(1) Stack's and ANR Combine Talents, by QDB
(2) The 1857 Large Cent, by David Alexander
(3) Our Ford Part XVI Sale Realizes $3,321,683, by Michael Hodder
(4) A Handful of Aces, by QDB
(5) Ford Part XV Delivers as Promised in Atlanta, by Bruce Hagen
(6) A Remarkable Profit Opportunity, by Chris Karstedt

In addition to this, there are the regular feature, such as What's New, Test Your Knowledge, From Dave's Notebook, QDB's Forum, and Focus on People (A.H. Rafique article).

Oh yea, there are coins and paper money for sale, too, in the catalog.

Lastly, there are lots of pictures of the staff persons at the combined Stack's, and it looks like the firm is getting into the Christmas spirit early because there are a few pictures of Santa Claus in there, too (one even showing him shaking QDB's hand!). image
