Set Registry Awards

Just a couple of questions regarding the awards...

What pct. must be complete to be eligible for an award ?

When is the deadline for completion and/or requesting the award ?

Are there any specifics that need to be submitted such as scans of the cards to assure credibility ?

  • This year's deadline for set registration and updates is May 31, 2007. Sets must be submitted for validation no later than 4pm PST. Please plan ahead when sending potential set registry cards to PSA for grading. PSA will be presenting award winners at the National convention.

The collector with the finest current set in each category with at a least 85% completion, or in the case of player sets, 1,000 or more cards registered in one set, will receive a certificate of recognition as well as a "Best of the Registry" icon by his or her set listing in the registry.

In order to list your set as current, you must own and have possession of the cards, tickets or memorabilia you are listing or be an agent with permission to represent a collection. (Possession may include items being held in your safe deposit box or items which you have consigned to auction.) A card, ticket or memorabilia is not considered owned by you if you have sold it to another and there has been a transference of ownership, regardless of buyback or return policies. Furthermore, this card, ticket or memorabilia should be removed from your set. If the same card, ticket or memorabilia should return to your possession and you regain ownership, you then have the option to relist it in the registry.

So you cant get an award for a player set unless it has 1000 cards ?

1000 cards OR 85 % complete on smaller player sets.

Thanks for the clarification. I was hoping my Munson set would be eligible, and from what youve all said it looks like I will be good to go !
