A great move by the Yanks - Proctor to the rotation

Having seen this guy pitch this year, I think this would be a great move. It sure beats paying Gil Meche $9 million a year.

I dont think they will take Proctor out of the Bullpen. I think they will go after Meche. They will want the starter because who knows what Johnson and Pavano are going to bring. Johnson isnt the same pitcher and Pavano is an eggshell.

They have guys that will start off in the minor that can also come up. As far as pitching goes, Yankees are looking deep in the farm system.

If anything with Proctor, he will start when they need someone instead of being in the position they were in last year...sometimes they didnt even know the day before who was going to start a game! I just hope they dont over use him like they did last season.

Rasner is way too raw. Give the other teams a chance to scout him and get a few games against him and he will be knocked around.

Heard they just offered Mussina a two year deal worth over $22 million...and he'll likely be their third starter.

That deal at that amount of money was pretty much expected and spoke of before the season even ended. Mussina knew the Yanks weren't going to pick up an 18 million dollar option. I think it ended up being a 1.5 million buyout.

I also wouldnt be surprised if the rumor of Dontrelle Willis for Melky Cabrera and other young talent became a reality.

Proctor has some smoking stuff, but to be honest I hope that he was only tired from the lack of previous experience but I don't believe that to be the case. IF he can stay fresh, it'll be a great move. I don't think it'll work out though.
