Perhaps, probably, the best football teams in their respective conferences.
They can be beat, as the Fins and Cowboys have shown, however they are the favorites to meet in this coming super bowl.
If it happens it should be a very interesting contest, power offense and power defense meeting each other.
As of now I think my choice would be; Bears 26 Colts 24

I think Carolina just got done beating the Bears in Chicago in january.
The bears are untested and grossman is wildly erratic. I don't see them being consistent or good enough to win 2 postseason games in a row to get to the super bowl. A lot will be said if they can beat NE in their house next week.

Laughable. They are 9-1. Their defense is really good if you haven't noticed. Offense has been spotty at best, but with the D creating opportunities and winning the field position battle, there isn't a game they can't win.

It doesn't matter a whit nor does it prove anything if the Bears don't beat NE. What matters now is the playoffs. Its going to be very difficult for any team to come into Soldiers Field and beat the Bears. Can it be don of course it can, but very difficult. Look at their home stats. How quickly we forget last years team, led by a rookie QB who went 10-0 and lead them into the playoffs. All the same players are back with several good additions, the two Mannings, Hester and at DE Johnson.
That means it will be 7 weeks before they play another real meaningful game...and none of us need to look real far to see how it affected Indy last year.
The Bears have feasted on an incredibly soft schedule (not saying it's their fault, but it's true), and Grossman's erratic play (4 INTs to Arizona?) is not who I'd want to have leading my team into criticial situations. The Panthers, Saints, and healthy Seahawks teams could all give them a run for their money - if not outright defeat them.

That doesn't make sense. Winning the division just guarantees you'll get at least a four seed in the NFL Playoffs. You don't think the Bears would continue to go for a two (for a bye) or even a top seed? And why is it commentators insist on saying, "clinched a bye and home field advantage throughout the NFC/AFC playoffs" when simply saying "clinched the #1 seed in the NFC/AFC" will do?

Meaning that the Bears will coast into the #1 seed without any difficulty. They currently have a 3 game lead on the #2 seed with 6 to play...they will coast to the #1 seed.
Why do commentators insist on saying it? Because the average fan may not know what the '#1 seed' means...but 'home field and a bye' is easy for everyone to understand.
