Ebay Store vs. Naxcom vs. Beckett Buy/Sell - Which one is the best?

What is the board's opinion of each service from a Seller's point of view? I've used Ebay Stores and Naxcom before but the fees, especially for ebay, are getting out of control. I haven't tried Beckett Buy/Sell yet, but the fees are lower than Ebay and there isn't a monthly fee.

I'd probably say eBay Store due to the exposure. Naxcom is a pain to buy from, and from what I understand a pain to get your $ from as a seller (bi-monthly checks, etc.). Beckett Buy-Sell is gone I think.

I was on the Ebay Stores message board and those guys seemed pretty depressed right now. It looks like the fees and slower sales are kicking them in the teeth.

You're right about Naxcom. Plus it seems to cater to the large dealers. As for Beckett Buy/Sell, it's still on their website, but I haven't tried it yet.

Thanks for your input. I'm still undecided.

Stores are pretty tough right now, unless you have hot items (which might sell for more in an auction) or cheap items (which are now listing prohibitive due to the increase). Still, they are the best game in town unless you want to set up your own site.

For sellers, the most important aspect of any viable site
should be the ease with which shoppers can matriculate
through the browsing process and become buyers.

Of the three venues mentioned, EBAY wins by a bunch.
EBAY is super-easy for most buyers to figure out.

I - like most people here - am a very sophisticated user
of online shopping venues. If I was just starting out in
that game, I think I might give up on Beck and Nax b4
I ever made it to the checkout.

EBAY has terrible problems, IMO, but it is still the best
and easiest place for sellers and buyers.

  • I have both a ebay and naxcom store. Both have there advantages. I sell more high end stuff on naxcom and the cheaper stuff on ebay. psa and wax sell good on naxcom were i still do great with raw cards on ebay. So i guess to each his own but these are my experiencesimage
  • I would recommend ebay stores.

THis doesn't mean you put everything in a store and wait.

It means putting some of your cards/items in core (fixed/auction type listing) and use this as a foot-in-the-door.

Always I get more store purchases in my store on the day a bunch of my core listings are ending.

    So, here's a haiku (I think):

    If you have enough core
Success is just around the corner
    In your ebay store.
Take the plunge into my ebay store
