1794 LARGE CENT S-61 low R5 - high grade

Rare Sheldon variety Large Cent; S-61 This piece has the detail of AU+ but is uniformly porous on both sides. Probably a ground recovery coin but I'm not sure. The obverse is very sharp, the reverse a bit weaker. The color is a medium golden brown, just about as shown in the pic. Not recolored as far as I can tell. Could have been a $20000 coin. Still very attractive despite the porosity.
The NET VG-10 in the Frankenfeld Sale brought over $2000. The Robinson NET XF-45 brought $8250.
This one is priced at $3000, delivered in the U.S. email: dpvilla@aol.com.
