"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." -Luke 11:9
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." -Deut. 6:4-5
"For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us." -Isaiah 33:22
Silver Eagle, your attribution is correct. What issue of Friedberg are you using? I wonder if the prices are accurate. Also, what is the significance of the dot; on the first coin it's below the lamb, and on the second one it's above.

Friedberg 7th edition (latest). I would assume the prices are accurate or slightly low. The coin I've referenced sold for $371 US at an european auction in December 2005.
Don't know about the dot, but it is an interesting observation..Here's another one without a dot
$250 for a 500-year old hammered ducat seems like such a bargain!!!
Bobking, the dot is neither a counterstamp, a chopmark nor a testmark. However, I don't know what it is.

Jester, I'm impressed with your id skills, you obviously did not look it up prior to replying. Knowing how vast your collection was, I wouldn't be surprised if you even owned a similar piece.

Brother D, my collection is neither extensive nor impressive. Besides, you grossly overestimate my ID skills.... But your memory, or intuition as it were, serves you correctly. The piece in question is in fact mine, and given that, my ID skills and memory both are severely lacking.

Typically, the dots and where they are placed signify the minting issue, such as first minting, second minting etc. In this case I cannot tell you which is which.
