And I don't know how else to put it......"I FEEL LIKE I HAVE BEEN RUN OVER BY A MAC TRUCK"imageimage

Only 8 out of 20 made it to the slab. That's right 12 body bags. I have been running about 80 - 90% until this.

Boy these 8 were expensive to get. 1854-O in 55 1851-O in 40 1859 in 53 1912-S in 55 1911-S in 55

1902-O in 53 1891-O in 55 and 1907-D in 53.

I could just PUKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Jon,

I'm very sorry to hear that this has happened. I too have beenhit hard with grading and haven't sent anything in since April, '06. I will be sending in soon though.

    Better luck next time!

    Later, Paul.

By the way what was your submission #, I would like to see what you did get slabbed.

    Later, Paul.

I just received a Roosie submission back from NGC where they body bagged one coin for "obv improperty cleaned". What's funny about this is the coin came from an unopened gov't double mint set. I know for a fact the coin has never been touched. My guess was back in 1953 the US Mint was cleaning coins and never told a soul. Professional graders...go figure.

  • I want to comment on something opposite of what happened, but very upsetting. For the education I sent a 10 Morgan’s to ANACS on the $10 deal. They were circulated semi-key dates ranging from AG3 to F20 all purchased off ebay. All came back graded, none net graded.

This really upset me for 2 reasons. I’m sure that at least 2 were cleaned. When you laid them out there was no way they were properly graded. It was like, oh hell, they’re cheap, let’s throw on which ever label is handy.

As a result, I have sold off or crossed over every coin in an ANACS holder.

    Whoa!!!

What the heck did you miss Jon ? Let us know when the coins come back. Or did you miss anything ?

I think I will try my first Roosie submission shortly. Hmmm, maybe not huh ?

    Cheers.
