    Hi Brian

Careful - that could be kind of expensive!

It's interesting that you used the word obsession rather than passion.

Did you see my latest survey?

    I have a passion for saving things - I'm a pack rat.

I also like to collect things that are affordable to me rather than chase after that which I will never truly be able to complete.

I enjoy collecting a few graded sets - get excited every year when Topps Heritage comes out and have a few side lines - like sports related whiskey decanters.

I'm way more passionate with respect to talking and reading about the hobby and what people are doing.

This is a very social hobby which binds people from all walks of life - the passion is the common denominator - I never tire of visiting here and talking with people.

  • she gives good helmet is a quote from the movie spaceballs.

i said obsession becasue my girl calls it an obsession.
i tell her i enjoy it and she understands.
if i buy an expensive card i buy her something nice to break the news.
were not rich so $120 for a card is a lot. she likes flowers and jewels.
you can buy some nice diamond necklaces for about the same as a $150 card.
she cant tell a roger clemens from catfish hunter so i have the advantage, i try not to lie.
but i'm obsessed with this passion.
    I collect PSA 9, 1986-1989 baseball.
  • Good helmet but hates your hobby... hold onto her for now, but keep looking. Sounds like a booty call, not marriage material.

I agree, you need someone who's a little more supportive of your hobby.

  • Yeah, I concur.

Great helmet (from a woman) is good, and all, but perhaps you need to take a step back and re-examine your priorities, Hoss.

Dog your gal over the dining room table, but not on a message board.

Your girl probably gives better helmet than both Ozzie Smith and Bo Jackson combined.

    Good luck, friend.
  • when i said she gives good helmet i meant she rubs my tried feet like no other woman in the world can, she's one of a kind. if a summer's day is bliss, she's the atmospheric breeze of a summer's day.
more lovely and more temperate than than tenacious and distant. My day evolves around finding her waiting for me at home with out a care in the world. when man said all virtues enter into this world he must have known my girl. our song is just my imagination, by the temptations.

  • In what Beckett magazine do they list the prices of BGS graded cards?
Im into BGS more than PSA now, i get Sports Market Report.
But what is the magazine name the price and is it available monthly, and is it only BGS cards and do they include ungraded?
    thank you in advance.
