Check out what is headed to PSA

These two beauties are on its way to PSA. Any guesses as to what grades they will get?

  • Nice cards. I can tell you if PSA knew they were mine, they would get a 6 and 8. Hopefully you'll do better. The 72 is tough to find centered as most are centered way to the bottom.......
  • The 1960 looks like an 8, the top right corner looks a little off to me and some edge fuzz may mean an 8, although it is a very sharp card! , The 1972 has great centering (usually a problem in this issue) and looks very clean therefore i give it a 9 (i never give anything a 10 based on a computer scan)....... good luck Frank, very nice cards! ps. thanks for the avatar!

    Nice cards.

The 1960 looks like a 7 to me, and the 72 looks like a nice high end 8.

    Good luck image

1960 = psa 7 (perhaps 8 if fish eyes not present)
1972 = psa 8 MIN, psa 9 very very possible

They will most likely grade 1 and 2. I will do you a favor and take them off of your hands to save you any aggravation.

I actually think you have a 7 and an 8, but I've been wrong before.

    I agree................................

The 72 set does have some centering problems depending on the card..............The Clemente in the set is actually EASY to find centered.........it is the most common card in the set in PSA 8 or better.......and PSA 9 or better

Hard to tell from a scan but is there something wacked about the top border of the '60?

I can't tell if it's your scanner or not but that '60 doesn't look very sharp color wise.

Otherwise, fantastic cards and best of luck image

Edited to add: Yeah, what MM said ^ image

The card has a slight tilt cut but doesn't look altered at all. Note how the ever so slighty larger portion of the top border lines up well with the slightly smaller bottom border underneath it. Can't see that hurting the grade much. I'll go with an 7 or 8. The 72 looks like a solid 9. We're assuming the reverse sides are solid. Very nice raw cards.

    7 and 9 respectively. I sure hope the 72 gets a 10 though!image Very nice card!!!!!!
  • Both look great. I'm going 8 and 10. Unless the backs are really o/c....

The corners and edges are virtually perfect on the 1972. The back is very clean and centered. The only thing that I am concerned about is a very, very, faint and slight flaw on the left, white border just to the left and bottom of the stands. You can only see it in the right light. The only way I know how to describe it is that the surface in that one little area doesn't lay flat. It sort of curves up. You can't see it on the edge either. It's not even a bubble, and definitely not a wrinkle. It's just an area where the light doesn't shine on it just perfect. I know that was a terrible way to describe a flaw, but that's the only way that I know how. I just wonder how PSA will respond to it. If it were not for that "flaw" that I horribly described, I would say that this card has an excellent shot at even a 10 (no joke). That flaw is the ONLY thing wrong with the card. With the flaw on the border, I am thinking for sure 8 and possible 9.

On the 1960, the border does have some toning. No fish eyes (I don't think). I saw what someone was saying about the top border. I think the picture is tilted ever so slightly. I really think 8 on this one. The corners are solid, and the back is very clean and centered.

  • both look like solid 8's....the print dots on the 60 aren't going to be a problem....
the 72 looks like it has a great possibility of a 9.....

    Sweet cards....
  • In my eyes the 60 Topps corners just are not sharp enough and think it will get a 7. Nice centering and registration. Your other Clemente look flawless in this scan...nice centering, reg and see no qualms with getting a 9. Good luck cuz you never know until they come back.
If they are in the Hall they are in my collection
