Wanted to thank Ali Musa for his kind gift of $10,500,000. With your share, what would you buy if yo

What a wonderful e-mail. I am now set for life with $10,500,000 thanks to Ali Musa who felt he needed to let me know of an entire families death and no one to come forward to claim their estate and since I was such a mensh I should have the whole thing (less their vig).image

I feel that I owe this wonderful bit of luck (mine, not theirs) to the forum. I am willing to let you decide who gets what and for what purpose.

Go for it! What should we buy- one really fantastic coin or an an absolutely smashing variety? image

I felt we could play the "what if" game. If we had the money, would would we buy (as a group)?

    What would you buy?

I still feel Cosmic's Gothic Crown would be what I would go for. Unfortunately, I think its been sold... Of course, Una and the Lion is till out there...

I think you should use the money to buy about 40,000,000 old East German coins.image

I have this modest little fantasy that runs through my mind occasionally...

A nice car, a generous sackful of cash,
the time to travel the world searching out coin finds.

Maybe finding a German immigrant community with family heirlooms
in the form of UNC coins that have been well cared for.
Perhaps a French family with a generational collection that has been gathering dust...
or even an eccentric English nobleman who has fallen on hard times
with old coins of the realm as his only remaining inheritance.

Being befriended by a Scottish Highland Laird with knowledge of secret buryings of treasure,
all mapped out, simply waiting for the expertise of a LordMarcovan avec detector.

There's got to be a lot out there that wants discovering.

Oh, for the ability to walk a storm-swept beach after a hurricane,
    looking for (and finding)
    man-made jewels of the sea,
    tossed and tumbled,
only to be finally revealed... to me!

Oh what I could do with the money.image
