I was a senior in 1990 and played football and torn some cartilage in my knee. I had my knee scoped and was out for like 3 weeks. Anywho, Emmitt also had torn cartilage in his knee while playing at Fla. the same week as me. He played a week after scoping his knee and ran for like 240+ yards against Miss State Univ!!!!

He was certainly the toughest dancer out of the lot!!

Edit: My Mother, who was a great dancer in her day btw, picked Emmitt all the way! She loved the way he just got better and better, each week of the competition. Guess that's nothing new for Emmitt? As he just got better and better each week, playin' football too!

Thats what I heard was the reason he won. Never having professional lessons like Mario did and getting better all the while
