My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Holy Mackerol! Congratulations on those grades! I started this set and found that it was very tough to find much good raw out there. You pulled an 8? Wow, that would be sold and I would pick up 5s and 6s to complete the set. image

Nice job on those grades. That 8 is awesome!!! Are you keeping these or selling? I may be interested in one or two.

  • probably selling- very excited about the 8, it was definitely a bit of a shock (the 8 didn't really look any better than the 6's, but I was only using a magnifying glass, no loupe). definitely LMK if you're interested in any before I post on ebay, our last sale worked out well.
  • Mmoin, congrats! One of two with none higher. I think that 8 might cover your grading fees. image

    Julen,

The grades jump around quite a bit on these. Just depends on who is bidding on ebay. The 5 commons typically go from $75-95 and the 6 commons in the $115 to 135 range. Regular HOF in 5 around $150 and in 6 around 180-200. Dual HOFs & bigger names are more.

Fun set to collect. Only 50 cards. And you get stats on the back of the cards. image

    Andrew, I'll PM you tonight.

FYI they are the FIRST cards to feature stats on the back! A little bit (more) of trivial nonsense!
