1962 FB Buck error?

I just received back a 1962 Fb Buck #12 Randle with a PSA note that they would not grade the piece because it is a factory misprint. It lists card #2 on the back instead of #12. No hint of the "1" at all. Is this a variation that is undocumented or is it a random printing error?
Any opinions?

I have owned all three sets of the bucks-baseball, football, and hockey. I have never known of a variation in any of these sets. I don't collect football or hockey so I sold them back two years ago in Milehighcardco's auction. You might want to hold on to that one. I can't believe PSA did not grade the card and label it as an error.
How did you do on your grades for those? I graded out my baseball set and received 41 PSA 8's with a handful of PSA 8ocs and 7s. I was pretty shocked as I had heard PSA won't give the card higher than a PSA 6 with the factory crease in it.

I have owned a number of BB sets of bucks and FB set or two as well. I also had sold mine to go onto other things a number of years ago. I had never heard of anything like this either. My last sub was the "bottom of the barrel" of the submittable stuff I had recently bought off eBay. It was mostly 7's with a few 6's and a couple of "whats?". Having followed these a bit and watched the pop reports, your sub was outstanding. PSA does ignore a "factory crease" if it occurred on all cards. Both the BB and FB bucks were followed in the package and therefore it is ignored. If you check the pop reports though, you will see that 8's are very difficult at least. That is an incredible sub. Are you planning on finishing that set slabbed?

I sold the set to a close friend of mine who was trying to do this set in all PSA 7's or higher. He had about half the set in PSA 7's and a handful of PSA 8's. When my submission was done he flipped out and wanted to buy the set as is. We did a pretty big trade for it which included his 1962 Topps bucks for football and hockey. That is how I ended up with those two sets.
