According to PSA, when does pre-war start?

As far as the specials go, what's the cut-off year for pre-war cards? I always assumed it was when cards were distributed on a yearly basis -- 1951. Is it earlier?

Thanks

Arthur

    I've always thought Pre-war was Pre 1941.

  • Yeah, that would make sense T-Bank. I just didn't know how technical they got about it or if it was intended to separate the cards made before the yearly issues were released. Would it be when the war started or ended?

Here is what the Psa Lingo and guides section says "pre-war
A collectible that is from a time before the start of World War II."

assuming that is the US involvement in WW2, that would mean '41 Playball, Goudey, and Doubleplay issues and everything before.

Arthur- Bowmans were distributed on a yearly basis starting in '48. Topps started in '51, but both Bowman and Leaf had significant sets prior to that.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

Is Iraq considered a war...? Anything before 2006 is thus pre-war
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

I think it's an intervention. Related to the "police action" in Korea from '50-53.
Playing to a draw sounds pretty good right now.
