  • Man, how incredible would it be to own something like that?

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

I wonder why they chose ebay to sell this?

Seems like it would be much better suited to a big auction house...

    Nonetheless, a great piece.

Awesome piece of baseball history. What's up with all the negative feedback, though?

  • wow, that went for a lot less they they thought! it was supposed to be $1 million....

WOW all those negative feedbacks with NO RESPONSES!!

looks like a gamble dealing with them! hit or miss....No paypal to fall back on either!!!!!

looks like somone in their customer relations should get fired, either that or their mail room !
  • Don't forget there is a very hefty 22.50% added on top of the final selling price for the Buyer. Is Heritage Auction Galleries that well known? I have seen them on eBay before.

The jersey did not have the provenance to prove it was actually the 33 jersey. It was bought at a garage sale for $10. Apparently the experts could not come to an agreement on the jersey....
  • Gehrigs 1927 jersey that was in the same auction failed to sell........

Its "only" 19% if you bid through Heritage and not through ebay....
  • That was just preliminary internet bidding prior to the floor bidding at a later date. It still may top 1 million.

  • Strange. At 657k, which is supposed to include the 19.5%, it would seem floor bidding ended up les than the internet bid. Not sure how that could happen unless an internet bidder backed out. With a 600k internet bid, plus 22.5%, final hammer should have been over 730k.
