I found the Original 1709 medal

Trial Strike one side of medal engraved in order to commemorate the walk of Baden (Bade), whose leader was Karl III (Charles-Guillaume de Bade-Durlach), in 1709. In tin, this medal is a ORIGINAL FIRST STRIKE/TRIAL STRIKE of the Reverse of medal struck below in this post, 45 mm 12.3gms Extremely Rare, If not unique.



Obverse : a crowned lion is standing on Broken weapons of war. Legend : "Audacem fortuna coronat", dated of 1709.

Reverse : blank

    Nice hair detail on the lion's coat, and its eyes are interesting, too.

    This medal was struck not long after Prussia first became a kingdom. A busy time in Europe.
