    I'd probably avoid it.

I"d give it a pass as well, unless the other side has a guy named Wagner or Plank.

If that card's been trimmed, they sure picked the wrong card to trim, not to mention they didn't do a very good job of it. image

    Pass.

  • ....yeah... the curvature on the right side is a little scary. Time to ask the seller some questions, methinks.

  • The plot thickens: I've been contacted by another eBayer who advises he bought the same card from same dealer in August, had it sent off for a re-grade by GAI, and had it returned, saying evidence of trimming on the top. BUT - can't find a closed/old auction listing on either this buyer or the seller's feedback.

The seller meanwhile has advised that he has contacted the grading company (in whose slab the T206 now rests) and they stand by their grade and evaluation. I'll be contacting the company in the AM. Suggestions?

That's way too many red flags.

Just out of curiosity, in whose slab does the card now rest?

  • I'm going to pass on the card. I now need to advise the seller of the decision. Do I mention the previous buyer who contacted me, or simply back out of the deal, apologising etc? How much info do I owe the seller for my reasons? This is more than a few hundred bucks...
