Now that the Yanks have picked up Sheff's option, let the whining begin...

Option was picked up last week. Since then all I have read is about Sheffield saying its going to be problem. He's trying to give his voice on where he goes but so far, management has pretty much ignored him. But the best line I read on mlb.com today....

"He's a good player, but you can draw it up any way you want and he ain't me," Sheffield said. "I understood them having to make this move for the remainder of the season, but to sit here and I'm leaving because of [Abreu]? I was always told you need to leave because someone is better than you and that's not the case here."

Both players have certain skills better than the other but to make a statement like that just shows how this steroid pumping egomaniac thinks and why he needs to go!

He will never play another game in a Yankee uniform. Let him whine all he wants as he is leaving via JFK.

I will chip in to help buy his ticket to whatever city is foolish enough to take him off our hands.

I'm hoping he retires, the 500 club does not need him.

He's not retiring anytime soon, there's always a market for a guy with his hitting abilities.
