Oooo, prettiful.

Hi all.
I was in my local Giant Bookstore of Doom today and a tracked down the '07 world coin guide. image That thing is massive, I knew it had to be big but I didn't realize it was a phonebook and a half.
As a girl who read the dictonary all the way through as a child, I wanted to sit down right there and read it. But I was afraid I'd drool on it.
Exact same kid-in-a-candy-store giddiness I get looking at sword and clothing catalogs.
I know what I'm adding to my holiday list. image

Cheers, Jessie L.

Sword catalogs?!? What kinda girl are you? image

Probably the kind I used to play D&D with in my misspent youth. image

You can often pick up a used Krause a lot cheaper, y'know. Or a new overstock one, like for instance a new 2006 now that the 2007s are out. Save some $$$ that way.

    New or used, getcha one!

It's commonly referred to as "The Brick" for reasons that are most likely very apparent to you now. image

Actually, I've always heard it called "the phone book", so she had it right.

I like Askari's (was it him? It's been so long) name for it: Krausenomicon.

Hehe, if you replace D&D with MMORPG, then yeah. Sadly, I usually just look and don't buy. Kinda like with coins. image
Thanks for the advice about getting last years as the new one comes out, I'll see what I can track down.
Does the info in them change much from year to year?

(I've already dipped my toe in the lightside forums, I nearly overlooked the idea that I ought to come over here and say hi.)
