    If my memory serves me correctly, the '51's were struck for use in Bermuda and carry a heafty premium. Hard to find a nice one for under $75.

    Assuming the piece is fully red, I would put it in an airtite as a collector, slab it as a seller. If it is anything less than fully red, slabbing it is a wasted of time. The 1951 is a highly overrated rarity, with much of the 120,000 issue appearing to be in gEF or better. That date and 1950 did not circulate in the UK.

    Yes, that is my opinion as well but if you have a nice set of pennies with all the rest slabbed, for example, that might be alright.
