A somewhat scarcer mint, I believe. Generally speaking. Not sure if it is scarcer for that particular year or not, since I don't have Krause handy. Branch mint pieces are much scarcer than Mexico City mintmarked pieces, anyway. (To state the obvious).

Hmmn... I don't have a 19th century Krause - if someone does,can you look this up with mintage numbers for Cn mint.

4th edition: KM397.1 mintage 300,000 F$2.50, VF $5 - two varieties listed small + large N in mintmark - same values.

It's the small "N" variety. Based on catalog value in XF and up, it is the more common variety, but there's not really that much difference in price:

Large "N" - $12 XF / $50 UNC
Small "N" - $9 XF / $45 UNC
