<<Tom, why would you want a card of that Magic dude when you could get a card of the greatest B Ball player ever?>>
Matt, good question. I want the Magic card because he is from Michigan State. Sometimes, we collect cards for sentimental reasons, even if it means collecting a marginal player or two. I'm kind of preaching to the choir here, I know . . .

<< <i>Not really sure but I see what your saying. It sure is a nice card though. I always liked '92 Fleer. >>
Matt, I think Brian means that, by definition, a card with writing on it couldn't be a PSA 10. I could be wrong (again)
I have seen a lot of PSA 10 cards and a lot of PSA certified cards, but don't recall seeing both. And if that's not Brians point, it makes a little sense. How is a card that has writing on it a psa 10??(auto or not)

shawn,
Yes I knew what he was saying about the auto on the card. Sorry for the misunderstanding but I replied "Not really sure but I see what your saying" I was saying not really sure to the question;
<< <i>doesnt the auto make it NOT a PSA 10 ? >>
and "I see what your saying" about the writing on the card.
<< <i>Ahem ... I think we all know who the greatest basketball player of all-time is ...
And no, I'm not talking about Jabbar.

the card is graded a 10, not the auto. if the autograph was the 10 then i believe it says autograph grade on the flip.
i don't see why it can't be graded a 10. if the autograph writing was a factor in the card grade then i guess i'll signed cards would have a MK qualifier.
<<The Majic card is a bad comparason. It was issued with the Auto on it. The Mattingly was signed in person/ >>
That's a good point jradke.
It is also my understanding that the PSA 10 on the original card of this post is the grade for the card, not for the autograph. But I just checked the PSA web-site, and I am amazed at the lack of information about the grading of autographed cards.

That was my point exactly. Doesnt the writing on the card whether its an auto or not make it by definition NOT a PSA 10 card ?
BTW, that isnt my card. I saw it on ebay and it had me baffled.

I thought that PSA decided to grade the card with the PSA/DNA authentication if someone chooses.
This has nothing to do with the "regular" grading service that you are speaking about - I believe.

So, if I am understanding you correctly, the GEM MINT 10 grade refers to the auto, not the card ?
