Australian lunar coin question

Were the 1999 and 2000 coins ever made in 5oz versions? I can't find them anywhere.
I can find the 1/2 oz, 1 oz, 2 oz, 10 oz, 1 kgr, 1 kgr diamond and 1oz gilded but not the 5oz for those two years.

All others years are not a problem

Edit: I'm referring to the silver coins

Nope. According to the "Macca's" Pocket Guide to Australian Coins, the 5 oz was a latecomer to the Lunar Silver series, replacing the 10 oz in 2005. The seven flavours you list there were the only ones minted in 2000.

Where can I find the latest edition of this?
I can't find Macca's at all. I can find one by Greg McDonald, and that only from Australian booksellers. Amazon doesn't seem to have it and neither does B&N.

Since I'm starting to grow my collection of Australian coins, I figure I should start reading up on them.

Sorry, that must be my Aussie laziness showing up, I guess. "Macca's" is short for Greg McDonald's book. image

The new edition of the McDonald pocket guide should be out before Christmas, if it isn't already. If you can't find it, the other Australian catalogue is Renniks "Australian Coin & Banknote Values". New editions aren't released as regularly as Maccas; it was last updated July 2004. Both are Australian-made books, so you may have trouble sourcing them from non-Australian sellers. Maybe Downies can help?

Ah! Now it all makes sense! I guess I should also order an Australian<->American dictionary image

Downies only has Rennick's book. I'll wait for Macca's 14th edition to come out and buy off of an Australian seller.

    Thanks!
