Congratulations Mr CoinKing

One of the qualities I admire in homerunhall, is his ability to choose the right persons around him, he not only trusts them enough to bring positive innovations to PCGS, but encourages them to do this as well. Not at all egocentric like my father. In the case of Ron Guth, the president of PCGS and well known authority on German coins, we all hit the jackpot, not only David. Especially we Darksiders, we've seen the TrueView service, the 25 day guarantee turnaround on economy world submissions and now the much anticipated world pop report. I'm sure that some Registries such as Switzerland won't be long either.

Ron whom I had the chance to meet in Chicago last March, is one of the most charming personalities I've ever met. So with this post, I welcome all the positive changes, and I state that I'm very grateful that Ron is our president. Thank you. image

The new coin pops are great! Now if we had a Mexican coin registry that would rock!

I have not been able to get into the world coin pops yet... I need to call or do something about that...

    Hi Dmitri,

Thanks for your kind comments. I was impressed by you, as well.

Let me know specific sets you would like to see built for the PCGS Set Registry and we will put them on our priority list.

    Hi Ron,

Certainly, the Swiss Federal type set in MS should be an easy start (at least 1850 through the end of WWII).....all metal types, including the bronze (fat/thin crosses) cu-ni, brass, and nickel-only 5-20 rappens, silver and of course gold.....don't forget the 1925 100 franc. image

The British sets are a nice start, but outside of the modern decimal material, there are few realistic possibilities for completion (I'm speaking Victorian here image ). So, a Victorian type set encompassing copper, bronze, silver, and gold would be a nice challenge. Date runs of Victorian material would be cool, but I don't see too many guys around here named Terner. image

I remember this post ... Are Darkside Registry suggestions still being accepted? If so, I don't mind putting together a few set ideas for Mexico and I'm sure there are a few others that wouldn't mind seeing other Darkside sets.

Thank you Ron for your time and energy supporting the world coin side of collecting.

I would be supportive of having a registry set for Mexican or Latin American coins specifically 8 reales.

    Oops! is right!

Agreed ... considering the problems I have been having with the Keystone Kops as of late ...

Between their apparent inability to find coins in Krause, multiple coin numbers for the same coin, and totally messed up pop reports I am seriously considering going elsewhere for my world coin needs.
