Question about November Special #2

"*Autographed cards from the manufacturer from 1998 to present are allowed on this special. All other autographed cards must be submitted under the Autographed Card Grading and Authentication service."

Now, my question is...does this just grade the card or does it authenticate the auto, or both??? Personally, I would just like the authentication and slabbing but I wouldnt be against the grade either.

Any input is appreciated!

Thanks
Barry

When you submit an autographed card to PSA (not a post 98 certified auto), the autograph will be authenticated by PSA/DNA. You have an option when you submit to select grade/no grade. PSA will then grade or authenticate per your request, then slab the card with a red flip with the card grade and the notation PSA/DNA certified.

If you submit directly to PSA/DNA, you will get a blue flip and the option to grade the autograph only.

My question specifically refers to the post 1998 certified card company auto. What designation does that get?
  • It is not labeled as authentic, partially because it is guaranteed to be authentic by the issuing company, and is issued a grade. If you really wanted, I'm sure you could have it labeled "Authentic" but, again, the back of the card is good enough for that.

I have another question about SPECIAL #2. Can you submit baseball cards??? The writeup says SPORT CARDS but the picture displayed various spots on the website says FOOTBALL HOCKEY BASKETBALL. Does anyone know???

Like tkd7 said you can choose with grade or without. I have a few cards each way.
