Question on Declared Values of Subs

What declared values do you guys use?

Using a 1980 Topps Pete Rose as an example, the SMR value for a MT9 is $30 and a GemMT10 is $350. Do you sub (If the card looks perfect) in the under $75 or the $76-$500?

If you would sub in the under $75, do you declare at $30? Or the $75 (max value) to cover your arse?

Thanks,

The value you place determines the cost to grade and insurance for loss. I belive PSA recommends using SMR 8 or 9 values. If you declare a SMR for the value of a 10, and it gets graded a 8 or 9 you just paid a lot to have a card graded.
