Question about PSA labels

Is there any way to determine roughly when a card was graded by the shape of the label or the serial #? I thought I remembered someone mentioning in other posts that PSA went through changes in the design of the label (is it 'flip?') with some being 90 degree corners, others being rounded, the type of font used, etc.
Does anyone have a rough timeline of how all that transpired? Also, is there any way to tell the approximate time frame of grading from the serial number?
