Someone help me understand the valuation of the ASE sets

I saw them last week selling for $150 or so on ebay.

I read in various posts to this and the BST forum that they are bringing $200/set.

Is this all just first-strike hoopla pricing or will the sets delivered in Dec and after bring the same prices?

I know Jack about this market segment and appreciate any insight.

Check eBay, Prices are all over the Board. Will take time ,after X-mas, probably, for prices to stabilize !

Unlike most of the AGE set, I would say up to 50% or more may not be delivered in time to get the first strike designation from PCGS.

So I do believe that the earlier sets will be worth more with that designation.

Chalk most of it up to feeding frenzy. I think you'll see a spike then a quick drop followed by a gradual rise on only the highest graded items.

What astounds me is the top end AGE sets. Check out this Auction

    This might go 20K.

    Just unbelievable !
