Can coins from the 2006 4 pc gold eagle set be switched into the 3pc 2006 set ?

The 2 pce box should be the easiest to buy fill and screw your neighbor with.

Being that the coins that went in it can be bought as singles, there is nothing other than self pride to stop someone from buying the box, filling it and selling for a large profit.

Buyers of raw sets beware be VERY AWARE~!~!!!!!!!!

If the raw coins cost $700 or so, what is the set bringing???? $850

If you buy the box for $150, pay $700 for the coins, I don't see a windfall.

The point is: the coins plus the box is greater than the purchase point from the mint. Everyone who sent their sets back and purchased the coins separately do not have the nice packaging. If they now want to place their two coins in a 20th anniversary box, they'll have to ante up MORE thatn they had to if they just kept their original order.
