Acetone or not on this ulgy Morgan

Never cleaned a coin in my life but I keep hearing about Acetone. Would it do anything for this ulgy black morgan?
Your thoughts, please.

I don't think it will do anything for this Morgan. It will probably look like a cleaned, circulated Morgan. You're better off leaving it as is.

Acetone won't hurt it if there's any type of soluble residue on it, but Acetone sure won't make it pretty again

I doubt it would change the appearance of it one bit. Soaking a coin in acetone is not cleaning it. It is a neutral solvent and will get off PVC and a few other surface contaminants, but does not remove metal, toning, etc.... I have wiped many a coin with acetone to get off PVC, and they all slabbed at PCGS. That said, no reason to do it to a coin if there is no benefit.
