card flipping

No, I'm not talking about buying raw cards, grading them and selling them.

I'm talking about the game I played as a kid flipping or matching colors, a winner takes all game.

Do you guys remember this from when you were a kid?

I look back at some of my cards now realize how many gem mint 10 cards I made in 5's or 6's. I really ruined a lot of cards doing this, but I remember having a lot of fun doing it and winning a lot of cards I wouldn't have today.

Ahhh, memories!

Also, can anyone tell how to upload my own image for a avatar?

Thanks!!

    John

You have to wait untill the 15th of any month. You go to your profile and at the bottom there will be a "button" to do it.

  • What else was I supposed to do with all my Mets and Cubs cards. My Yankees were safe at home and the Mets and Cubs in reserve when I was having a bad flipping day......

We used to play "closest to the wall". Whoever threw their card closest to the wall without actually touching or hitting it won the card.....guess this saved corners a bit, but not much!!
  • We would put some "superstars" on the ground near a wall, put the cards against the wall and let them flip down. The first one to have their card land on one of the "superstars" would win everything on the floor.
We also played colors, similar to uno or crazy 8's.
